Select the right HF/NFC tag or reader
When selecting your NFC hardware, the key factors to consider are chip architecture, memory requirements, and security needs. For open consumer interactions such as smart packaging, NFC marketing, or the Digital Product Passport (DPP), NTAG-based tags are the cost-effective choice. For access and identification systems, cryptographically protected chips such as MIFARE DESFire EV3 or NTAG 424 DNA with SUN authentication are recommended. ICODE SLIX and SLIX2 are the preferred choice according to ISO 15693 for industrial applications such as laundry logistics, libraries, and media library tracking. Upon request, we provide sample transponders and reader packages for preliminary evaluation in your application.
